4x4 Accessories and Parts

Browsing 4x4 accessories, either online or in shops, seems to be a favourite past time of many 4x4 enthusiasts. But it's difficult to find out what a product is really like until you've spent your hard earned money. That's why I created this 4x4 Product Review section. There won't be a massive number of products reviewed here, but every item I report on will have been long term tested, by myself, in the tough Aussie Outback. All of my product reviews will answer the following questions:
- How well does it perform its intended function?
- Does it meet or exceed the minimum expectation?
- Is it well made and will it last?
- Is it easy to use?
- Does it provide good value for money?
Also make sure you check out the 4x4 Accessories Guide, where I highlight which 4x4 accessories are "must haves" when taking your 4x4 off road. If you're just starting out it will explain which items you'll need to acquire first and why.
I have developed a rating system for the products I review. The rating allows the results of the review to be summarized, however, it is important to read the whole review in detail to fully understand both the positive and negative aspects of each part or accessory. The ratings are like the usual star system, except I have changed the stars for "fourbies":)
A truly excellent product. Significantly exceeded expectations. Good or excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
A good product that meets expectations. Good or excellent value for money. Recommended.
An average product. Could have been better in one or more areas. Read the review carefully to understand why it didn't get a higher rating.
A below average product. It has major deficiencies that make it not recommended.
